I was born in 1974 to a multinational, multicultural family with a wealth of experience and background in music and the fine arts.
My love of art started at an early age thanks to my family heritage.
I pursued a career in Naturopathy (Chinese Medicine) and I also studied a degree in Psychology – which both greatly inspire my work today.
During a trip to Italy, I was immensely impressed by the beautiful mosaics in Ravenna / Italy. So I decided to study this art form.
In 2012 I was given the opportunity by an art critic to develop and exhibit my own mosaics in Milan / Italy. I acquired more skills in this art form under the tutelage of a professor at Brera Academy and with a professional mosaicist, who gave me the idea to try and work with glass.
Early on, I decided to use glass as my main material in a way of reflecting the fragile and sharp nature of humanity. My works mirror the things we fear, how we cope with change, identity, beliefs and conflict; in a nutshell, the human psyche.
We are so fragile and sharp at the same time, and we need to be cut and shaped an recomposed.
This is the underlying message and evolution of my work.
